Some Things Remain the Same

"Why hello, roving reporter, you look different... You look younger, more dynamic, dare one say more attractive than the usual scribe..."

*Roving Reporter blushes...

"I'm sure you're better at cricket than the other roving reporter, too"

"Hold my beer, mysterious other voice in this conversation"...

*Roving Reporter bowls 2 overs for 27 and then gets bowled for 0

*Awkward moments of silence

*Yet more silence

Some things are different, but some things remain the same.

Fergus Weir continues to look a sensational talent (8-0-41-3 and a quick fire 20*), Skipper Scott Roberts continues to chip away and pick up wickets with embarrassing ease (8-2-36-2) - he got 5 on Saturday. Mandeep Singh continued to show superb all-round ability (4-0-36-3) AND 46 runs with the bat. Yakesh Sachdev continued to look elegant holding a piece of willow (run out for 52), the youth continued to shine (the aforementioned Fergus teamed up with Manraj Singh and Adam Houghton, who both contributed well)

And a gentleman called Will looked superb behind the stump (a lovely catch of the Yak, only 4 byes in a total of 258 runs, and then a well-played 56).

And this roving reporter really hates cricket at times...
