OK then, who nicked it?

Things move quickly in Fleckney, and we aren't just talking about deliveries from the local Chinese. You turn your back and someone demolishes the Sports Hall, nicks half your car park and leaves behind some portaloos. There is probably a joke about spending a penny being cheap parking but it would give the wrong idea and send safeguarding into a death spiral.
Losing a toss on a wicket drier than prohibition in the desert presented its dilemma. Both sides wanted to bowl but CAMRA called correctly and Fleckney struggled to score. When I say struggle I mean struggle like Mr Muscle trying to carry an elephant. The score was less than 40 at drinks and the projected total was lower than an emaciated ant on a potholing holiday.
The second half turned out better as Fleckney were able to close on 161 after 40 overs. Due in the most part to contributions from Dunkers (59), Samit (32) and a quick fire 39 from Haroon. However two things happened that deserve mention.
1) Before going out to umpire Chris Hill went into change and came out wearing a sleeveless ECB vest and thus displayed perhaps the most underwhelming gunshow since John Wayne had to close his long career using water pistols.
2) Mike Dunkley was called through for a risky single and didn't move, young Henry kept on coming. The agony of the situation clearly etched on his face. Bat for himself? The team situation or sacrifice himself and allow the youngster to continue? Ever the gentleman Mike stepped out of his crease and departed. No jokes intended, just a spirit of cricket moment from an absolute gentleman.
Daz Webber bowled a ridiculous spell of 2 for 8 from his 8 overs but no other bowler managed to force a breakthrough as CAMRA sauntered home with 7 overs to spare. No lack of effort , just not quite good enough on the day.
What of CAMRA? Top quality opponents as always, played in the best traditions of the game , came to the pub after and even stayed for the quiz. May your club go from strength to strength and we hope to see you soon.
Right then, so where did the Sports Hall go?
