FVCC 2s v Countesthorpe 4s

For the 3rd week in a row the skipper lost the toss and we were put in to bat.

Kev Kisby and Dave Parker had the job of getting of to a good start but things didn’t go to plan as we found ourselves 30/3 after 12 overs and 40/4 at drinks.

After this Kisby tried to up the intensity and after scoring 10/15 quick runs he played 1 shot to many and was caught out for 30.

Usually this would be the beginning of the end being 5 down, but not today Nilesh 22 Kavit Shah personal top score of 35no and a little cameo from Max guided us to a respectable total of 147/7 at the break.

After a brief tea break we took to the field searching for quick wickets and that’s what we got restricting the visitors to about 50/5 at the drinks break with another fabulous spell of open bowling from Max 10 overs straight through 3/17.

Then with some more tight bowling and very good fielding we bowled Countesthorpe out for 105.

Brilliant performance which caps a great day for the club 50 points.
