The problem with Wakerley and Barrowden is that they are very good at cricket - in truth they would cause a lot of problems for our strongest 1st eleven - we didn't have our strongest side out there - missing a couple of key experienced players, this was very much a tough day for the Fleckers.
Brijj Barot deserves some credit for a beautiful shot straight back past their opening bowler in his 13, Jason Nicholson showed some resiliance to slow the W&B charge but he fell and quick wickets left us 26/6 and 38/8 and looking like the game would be done before tea - however Sam Hill (13yrs old) and Sunday skipper Scott Roberts - with a Fleckney best - batted for over 20 overs and managed to eek our score into 3 figures - 105/9 in the 40 overs.
It didn't take Wakerley and Barrowden long to knock off the runs - finishing things in the 12th over for the loss of 1 wicket - Kavit Shah with a decent catch off Frank Smith's bowling.
